Swimming
Swimming is not to be missed during your stay in Komarna. Crystal clear sea awaits only 10 m away from Villa Dorida.
Whether you enjoy hours of swimming or prefer just a quick swim to cool off from the hot Dalmatian sun, while in Komarna, you will certainly fully enjoy the sea and its magic.
Water sports
We keep two SUP boards, and a two-person kayak for our guests to enjoy. They are offered free of charge.
We only ask that you treat them properly (like your own), and make sure not to privatize them, so other guests can equally enjoy them.
Wine tasting
Did you know that Komarna is the youngest Croatian wine region? Komarna vineyards are ecologically and organically certified. Over 90% of grapes planted here are indiginius grape varieties.
You can visit Terra Madre Winery on foot while the Rizman Winery is only a 5-minute ride by car.
Day trips
Komarna is a great base for sightseeing. Dubrovnik, Mostar, Ston, islands: Korčula, Mljet, Brac and Hvar, are all within one hour’s drive from Komarna. Find out more about sightseeing.
Hiking
In the Komarna area, in the hills above and around the village, there are many hidden villages, stone houses, and churches. If you enjoy long walks in nature, in Komarna you will find many small roads, all of them open to the public.
Canoeing on the Trebizat River
Trebizat River Canoeing takes you along an 11 km long track. It starts at the swimming place Bozjak, near Studenci, and ends at swimming place Jaz near Struge. The river is calm and still, but it gets a bit quicker and more exciting in the second part of the track. Canoeing on the Trebizat river is suitable for all ages. No previous experience is needed.
Rafting on the Neretva River
The track is 15 km long, starting just north of Mostar and ending in the village Biletic. Rafts can take up to 8 persons. The track is suitable for adults and children. Professional guides and equipment are provided.
Fishing
While in Komarna, try your skills at catching your own lunch or dinner. You can obtain a fishing license at the tourist office in Komarna located just across from Villa Dorida.
